This May, new legislation designed to make it harder to vote in UK elections (local, national and A N Other) goes live. Today, a short look at the history of rigging the ballot; what it means for minorities; and what you can do to hold on to your vote.

Yanno, you have to hand it to them.

Who they?

Why, white supremacists, of course. Also, pretty much every stripe of reactionary, exclusionary bigot that tries to stop black people voting. Or women. Or…well: just pencil in your favourite minority.

Because, say what you like about their politics (though i challenge you to do that without cursing or swearing or raising your blood pressure): they are honest. They do not believe certain folks should be allowed to participate fully in society. Let’s have fewer of them! Hence restrictions on movement.

And if they have to be, let’s just not give them the vote! At all!

Like i said: honest. But shit.
