Spot on! And this is the central lie to the anti LGBTQ position. Either it is possible to talk about love, relationships, etc. with straight cis children...in which case it must be possible to have those same conversations with LGBTQ+ ones.

Or the claim that such conversations ALWAYS tend to the sexual means we should take a long hard look at the dialogues we have with children.

Personally, i reckon it is a bit of both...because "romance" is all too often code for unequal power balances in a relationship. But that is another topic altogether.
