The UK media make millions out of attacks on trans people. Today might be a good day to start asking them to care. And pay. In cash or accurate reporting. We’re not fussy which. And the woes of the trans masc and enby community would be a good place to start.

Now read on.

The UK media treat trans people as pretty much free spectacle. Want a good clickbaity “debate” to jizz up your morning viewers (or listeners or readers)? Why, then: just dust off the latest nonsense peddled by JK Growling or Fur Pay for Women and ask — no, demand! — that a trans person turn up on your show to explain.

But of course, they usually mean “explain!” in the sense of some posturing paterfamilias catching you as you come in after an all-nighter and demanding you explain what you’ve been up to at this godforsaken hour.

“You slut!”

Maybe not spoken aloud. But definitely intended.

A gerbil squeaks
